Matt is 2! (Almost)

Yesterday we celebrated Matt's 2nd birthday. I know this is really cliche to say, but It's gone by so fast. He is such a wonderful little boy, and I can't imagine my life without him. He is really becoming a little boy and definitely not a baby anymore. He can do so much now and he is a great helper. We got him a little baby for his birthday and it is so sweet to see him with it. He loves to rock and say "Shh" to it. He also will give it milk and feed it food. I think he must be learning a lot of this in nursery because he really doesn't see me with infants very often. He is going to be a great big brother someday! I'm really grateful for this break from school; last semester I missed him so much being away during the day for school. It's nice to be with him all day long and play with him and snuggle. He's become really clingy to me lately, which is odd because usually he loves to go to other people, but now he gets fussy if someone else goes and gives him a hug or holds him. I'm flattered, don't get me wrong, but I hope this is just a phase.
So, Matt has gotten so much for Christmas and his birthday from us and all of his family members! It's nice, but at the same time I worry about Matthew getting spoiled. Something I really want for all of our children is to be grateful for everything they have and to not expect a lot. It would be easier for Matt if he had a sibling that he could learn to share with, but as of yet, he doesn't have that blessing. I'm going to put some of his toys in the closet tomorrow that way he doesn't have so many toys all at once, and probably keep rotating.
I've really loved being a parent these last two years, and I look forward to anymore children we will have in the future (this is not an announcement). I know that Nate feels the same as me, that having Matt has been a blessing to our marriage and has made us stronger.
